ISU Card

Students

A State or Federal issued photo ID is required to obtain an ISUCard, such as a Passport, Driver's License, Non-Driver Photo ID, Learners Permit,
Military ID, or Tribal Card. The photo ID must be nonexpired.* The University ID Number (UID) or Social Security Number is also required in order to look up the student's record. International students who do not know their UID must check in with the International Students and Scholars office before obtaining the ISUCard. The first ISUCard is free.

Employees


Before obtaining an ISU Card, the hiring department must start the employee in Workday. A State or Federal issued photo ID is required, such as a Passport, Driver's License, Non-Driver Photo ID, Learners Permit, Military ID, or Tribal Card. The photo ID must be nonexpired.* The University ID Number (UID) or Social Security Number is also required in order to look up the employee's record. The first ISU Card is free.

Approved Forms of Government Issued Photo ID

  • Driver's License (Issued within U.S. including U.S. Territories)
  • Non-Driver Photo ID (Issued within U.S. including U.S. Territories)
  • Learner's Permit (Issued within U.S. including U.S. Territories)
  • Passport
  • U.S. Military ID Card
  • Tribal Card

*If you do not have one of the required forms of valid government ID mentioned above, you may alternatively present two forms of ID from the following lists.  Individuals must present one selection from List A and List B.  The item from List A must have a current photo on it which allows clear identification of the individual requesting the card.

List A

  • High School Photo ID
  • Institution of Higher Education Photo ID
  • Credit/Debit Card with Photo

List B

  • Social Security Card
  • Certified Birth Certificate
  • Certified Marriage License
